Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and SIA InVanilla (registration number 40203218282, Pūces iela 53–32, Rīga, LV-1082, Latvia) for using MasterPack. Written to be read, not survived. Questions: support@xternal.ai.
1. What MasterPack is
MasterPack is a marketplace. One subscription gives you access to every app in the catalog. Those apps are built and operated by independent makers, not by us. We provide the subscription, the sign-in, the usage measurement, and the payouts.
2. Your account
You need an account to subscribe or to publish. Keep your sign-in secure, give us accurate information, and don't share one account between people. You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live, whichever is higher.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
- Plans are Basic ($10/month) and Premium ($25/month), billed monthly in advance. Premium additionally unlocks apps that makers have marked premium-only.
- New subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial. Cancel during the trial and you are not charged.
- All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices exclude VAT or sales tax where applicable; tax is shown at checkout.
- You can change plans or cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep access until then.
- EU withdrawal right. Consumers in the EU normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. By starting your subscription you ask us to begin the service immediately and acknowledge that once it has been fully performed for a billing period, the withdrawal right for that period is exhausted. Nothing here removes your statutory rights.
- If a payment fails we may suspend access until it succeeds. We will tell you first.
4. Using catalog apps
Each app is provided by its maker, who is responsible for it — its content, its availability, its own terms, and how it handles anything you put into it. We curate for obvious abuse, but we do not build, audit, or guarantee these apps. If an app disappears, breaks, or disappoints you, tell us and we will act on the listing, but your subscription buys access to the catalog as a whole, not to any one app remaining in it.
5. Publishing an app (makers)
- You keep all ownership of your app. You grant us the licence needed to list it: to display your name, description, and images across MasterPack and in marketing of the catalog.
- MasterPack must be the only sign-in on a listed app. Usage — and therefore payment — is attributed through our sign-in; an alternative login makes that impossible.
- Run the usage SDK honestly. Do not fake, inflate, or simulate activity, do not pay or incentivise anyone to generate usage, and do not use multiple accounts to consume your own app for gain.
- Your app must be lawful, must not contain malware, must not phish or deceive, and must not collect user data beyond what it needs.
- You are responsible for your own users, your own privacy policy, and your own tax affairs. You are an independent business, not our employee, agent, or partner.
6. How makers are paid
- Each subscriber's monthly fee, minus our 30% platform fee, forms that subscriber's pool. The pool is divided between the apps that subscriber actually used that month, weighted by measured active days and capped active minutes. A single sign-in is not usage.
- Usage in test/sandbox mode never earns. Usage of your own app by your own account never earns.
- Balances are paid monthly through Stripe Connect once they reach $25; smaller balances roll forward. New makers have a 30-day holding period before their first payout. You must complete Stripe's identity verification to be paid.
- We may withhold a payout while we investigate suspected fraud, a chargeback, or a legal claim, and we may reverse amounts derived from fraudulent activity. We will tell you why, and you can dispute it by email.
- The measurement rules exist to be fair, and we may tune the exact weights as we learn. Material changes are announced before they affect a payout period.
7. Unlisting, archiving, suspension
You can unlist your app at any time (it leaves the marketplace and stays in your account) or archive it (hidden immediately; its listing and credentials are deleted after 30 days unless you reinstate it). We may suspend or remove an app that breaks these terms, is unlawful, or endangers users — normally with notice, immediately where the risk requires it. Earnings you had already accrued remain payable.
8. Acceptable use
Don't break the law, don't attack or probe our systems without permission, don't scrape or resell the catalog, don't circumvent the sign-in or the usage measurement, and don't use MasterPack to harm anyone.
9. Our service, honestly described
We will try to keep MasterPack available and correct, but we provide it “as is” and do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or €100, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are untouched.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and, if you want, deleting your account from your account page. Deletion is permanent: your apps stop working immediately and your data is removed, except records we must keep for accounting and tax, which are stripped of personal identifiers. If you are a maker with an unpaid balance, contact support@xternal.ai first so we can pay you out — deletion is blocked while money is owed to you.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will give notice before it takes effect; continuing to use MasterPack afterwards means you accept the new version. If you don't, cancel.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Latvia, and the courts of Latvia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there; you can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. We would much rather you just emailed us.
